The client is seeking an Executive Director for the Montgomery Coalition for Adult English Literacy (MCAEL). MCAEL is responsible for supporting over 60 adult ESOL programs, 1,300 instructors and staff, and approximately 17,000 adult learners in Montgomery County, Maryland. The organization's mission is to strengthen and enhance adult English language learning programs to promote individual and family success in various aspects of life.
As the central hub for English language learning in the county, MCAEL plays a crucial role in maintaining and expanding a comprehensive system that caters to the diverse needs of adult learners. With a focus on providing educational opportunities to the 139,000 adults in the community who struggle with English proficiency, MCAEL serves as a coordinator for services, training, planning, and analysis. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing these operations and bringing a strategic, big-picture perspective to the coalition.
