The Director of UK position at our client is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the charity's operations in the UK and driving the mission to improve the lives of horses. The ideal candidate will be passionate about equine welfare and have experience in leading and managing teams. They will be responsible for promoting equine welfare through hands-on care, research, education, and advocacy, with a focus on supporting horses in need, in sport and leisure, and those used in work and production worldwide. The Director of UK will also oversee the charity's Rescue & Rehoming Centres in Britain and manage the UK's largest equine rehoming scheme, caring for over 2,200 horses in approved homes.
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead their UK operations and work in partnership with communities across 20 countries to improve the welfare of working horses. The Director of UK will collaborate with governments, veterinarians, farriers, and other stakeholders to ensure the welfare of horses is prioritized and protected. This role requires a compassionate, practical, and evidence-based approach to equine welfare, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.
