Description

The Director of Programs and Facilities plays a crucial role in overseeing our client's Education and Engagement Programs, facilities management, evaluation, and advocacy efforts. Working closely with other directors, this position ensures that our client's values, standards, and mission objectives are met. The Director must have a strong understanding of the logistics of each department's operations and be able to efficiently resolve time-sensitive issues that arise on a daily basis. Collaboration and coordination across programs are essential in this fast-paced role, as well as maintaining agency standards of service with and for the community. Leading by example, the Director creates and maintains a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work culture.Responsibilities include collaborating with co-directors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, overseeing Program Managers, and supporting the hiring, orientation, and training of program staff. The Director also develops training programs to foster the growth and development of staff and volunteers, evaluates program needs and staff capacity, and identifies and executes solutions for any gaps or inefficiencies. Managing program budgets, facilities, distribution sites, vehicles, and equipment, the Director ensures that programs are running effectively, efficiently, and safely in accordance with organizational processes and procedures. Building and managing strategic relationships and partnerships, providing regular updates to the Co-Executive Directorship, and overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of facilities are also key responsibilities of this role.
