The Director of Prisons will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and leadership of our client, as well as implementing the reform agenda for Corrections in Tasmania. This role will involve representing the Department of Justice and the State at various local, national, and professional forums. Additionally, the Director will lead the senior management team in ensuring community safety through secure custody of prisoners, community supervision of offenders, and the delivery of education, training, rehabilitation programs, employment, and other activities aimed at reducing reoffending.The successful candidate will be tasked with implementing an integrated restorative justice model to achieve the goals of our client. This role will require strong leadership skills, the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, and a commitment to promoting positive outcomes for both prisoners and the community.
