The Director of Development (DoD) is responsible for all fundraising and income development for our client. This includes submitting annual fundraising goals to the CEO, overseeing fundraising efforts through various channels such as direct mail, media advertising, events, and individual interactions, and developing financial gifts from current supporters. The DoD will also create and implement a development budget and strategy to achieve our client's fundraising goals, regularly report progress to the CEO, and oversee the development team.Additionally, the DoD will research and engage outside vendors within the approved budget to assist with fundraising efforts, increase awareness of our client through presentations to local organizations, and strengthen donor relationships through tours, events, mailings, and personal contacts. The DoD will also cultivate major gifts, including estate planning, grants, and foundations, and utilize our client's donor software to measure giving demographics and trends. Other duties as assigned may include managing the development team, hiring, supervising, training, and any other tasks necessary to reach our client's fundraising goals.
