The Director of Development position at Freedom of the Press Foundation is a crucial role as the organization experiences significant growth and implements innovative fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will lead major gifts programs, cultivate donor relationships, and leverage emerging technologies to sustain and expand our client's impact. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to identify, solicit, and steward major donors, collaborating with key stakeholders, and providing strategic leadership for major gifts fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of nonprofit fundraising experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The Director of Development will report to the Vice President of Development and Operations and play a critical role in leading fundraising efforts, sustaining existing relationships, and cultivating new partnerships to support our client's mission and programs. The compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary range of $120,000 - $140,000, and includes benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, personal time off, paid sick leave, and a generous 401(k) program.
