The client is seeking a Director of Athletics to lead the University's athletic program. Reporting directly to the President, the Director of Athletics will be responsible for strategic planning, management, and administration of the athletic program, which includes 20 varsity teams competing at the NCAA Division I level. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and units across campus to elevate the client Athletics Department in alignment with the University's mission and vision, while ensuring compliance with Title IX and NCAA rules and regulations. The Director of Athletics will also oversee fund-raising and revenue generating activities, as well as develop comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to enhance national awareness and generate revenues for the athletics department.
Qualifications for the position include a bachelor's degree, senior level athletic administrative experience, project management skills, and a strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a history of remaining compliant and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the athletic department.
