Our client is seeking a Director of Advancement and Special Events to help advance the organization's mission of improving the lives of children and energizing the next generation of philanthropists in the Greater Boston region. The ideal candidate will establish and nurture partnerships with nonprofit organizations in education, healthcare, and faith-based initiatives, collaborating closely with the President, board members, volunteers, and other groups. They will be hands-on, entrepreneurial, and dedicated to the mission, working towards fulfilling the Foundation's goals. The Director will also be responsible for supporting the Foundation's signature events, managing volunteers, securing sponsors and donors, and providing vital support to the President, board, and volunteers in fundraising efforts.
Additionally, the Director will be responsible for volunteer support and chair stewardship, managing the logistical needs of events, and building and managing the Foundation's Emerging Leaders Council and Boston Marathon team. They will also support fundraising and development logistics, including conducting prospect research, preparing donor meeting materials, and supporting various fundraising events. Ideal candidates will have a deep appreciation for the Foundation's mission, an entrepreneurial attitude, experience in special events, advancement, fundraising, and/or development, and a BA degree. The salary range for this position is $120,000-$130,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
