The Department of Neurology at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a full-time faculty neurologist to serve as Program Director of the neurology residency program. The goal of the program is to create well-rounded neurologists who can excel in academic or private practice settings. The program is currently at 30 residents and is growing to reach its ACGME approved level of 36 residents. UT Health San Antonio has a diverse faculty and patient population, with a commitment to serving the underserved population of South Texas. The department also offers fellowships in various neurology specialties.
In 2024-2025, UT Health San Antonio will open the new Center for Brain Health, which will unite neurology and clinical trials in one building. The facility will provide shared space for multi-disciplinary care and faculty administrative offices. The ideal candidate for the Program Director position will have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, current board certification in neurology, current medical licensure, and at least three years of educational and/or administrative experience.
