
The client is seeking a Director for their National Economic Crime Centre (NECC) within the National Crime Agency. This role is a permanent position, or can be on secondment for up to 2 years with the possibility of extension. The Director will work closely with other NCA Directorates to enhance understanding of serious organized crime threats, deliver effective responses, and lead tactical interventions. The role supports the Director General Threats and Director General NCA in coordinating operational responses to economic crime and shaping responses to priority crime threats.
The Director NECC will play a key role in leading the operational response to economic crime and serious organized crime threats. They will work to enhance the UK and international response to these threats, influencing both within and outside of the NCA through partnerships. This position is part of the broader operational leadership within the NCA, focusing on delivering a 4P response (Pursue, Prevent, Protect, Prepare) to combat organized crime. The Director will be responsible for shaping the NCA's response to priority crime threats and coordinating with other agencies.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in combating economic crime and serious organized crime, with experience in operational leadership. They should have the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance the response to crime threats. This is a high-level position within the NCA, requiring strategic thinking and effective coordination of responses to complex crime challenges.
