Description

Our client is seeking an experienced pediatric research leader to serve as the founding Director. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing the thematic research strategy, infrastructure, and operations of the $70M opioid research center, positioning Arkansas as a national leader in understanding the impacts of the opioid crisis on children and developing effective treatments. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and transformational leader with demonstrated experience in academic research leadership, grant-funded projects, and a broad vision in the opioid research arena.

The Director will report directly to the ACRI President and work closely with the ACRI leadership team, UAMS Department of Pediatrics leaders, and other stakeholders to accomplish research goals. Preferred candidates will possess a MD, DO, PhD, or appropriate terminal degree, along with outstanding academic credentials and a commitment to diversity. Our client, a not-for-profit corporation owned by Arkansas Children's, is dedicated to advancing pediatric therapeutics through research in areas such as childhood obesity, allergy, asthma, population health, critical illness, and translational research. With over 150 pediatric researchers, our client is uniquely positioned to transform discovery into improved care for children and address a wide range of health concerns affecting pediatric populations.
