A well-known food company located in central Galicia is seeking a General Manager to establish the overall operational definition of the company. This role will involve being a member of the Management Committee and Advisory Committee, defining and implementing the company's global strategy, overseeing daily operations, and supervising financial management. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying growth opportunities in new markets or product lines, and acting as a spokesperson at various forums, events, and meetings.
The ideal candidate for this position must reside in Galicia, hold a higher degree or university diploma with an MBA being desirable, be fluent in Spanish with knowledge of Galician being desirable, and have a minimum of 5-7 years of solid experience in managing a company with a turnover of around 100-300 million euros. Previous experience in a family-owned company with a variety of management situations is also important. This role offers a succession plan due to the upcoming retirement of the current General Manager, and the company has a track record of good results and sustained growth.
