Blakestown Mountview Youth Initiative (BMYI) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1998 to support young people and families in the Dublin 15 area. The organization provides youth, family, and educational support through evidence-based programs funded by the HSE, Blanchardstown Local Drug and Alcohol Task Force (BLDATF), and TUSLA Child and Family Agency. BMYI is now looking to expand its Board of Directors on a voluntary basis, with expectations including fulfilling legal requirements as Company Directors and attending regular meetings.
The role of Director at BMYI involves supporting the well-being and development of young people and families in the community. Board members are expected to attend 10 meetings per year, in addition to the AGM, which may be held in-person in Dublin. The organization relies on independent fundraising in addition to funding from various agencies to continue providing essential services to the community. This is an opportunity for individuals passionate about youth and family support to contribute to the strategic direction and governance of BMYI.
Ideal candidates for the Director position at BMYI will have a strong commitment to the organization's mission and values. Previous experience in a governance or leadership role is beneficial, but not required. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact in the Dublin 15 area by helping shape the future of youth and family support services. If you are dedicated to supporting young people and families in reaching their full potential, consider joining the Board of Directors at BMYI.
