The Director will be responsible for overseeing client operations, managing a team of building officials and inspectors, and providing strategic direction to ensure the Division meets its goals and objectives. The Director will also work closely with other City departments, developers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate the timely and efficient processing of building applications and permits. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the BC Building Code and other relevant regulations, as well as strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with external partners. The Director will play a key role in shaping the future development of the City and ensuring that all construction projects meet the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
