The client is seeking a Director of Agriculture and Food Systems to lead their team in Nairobi. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing research projects in the agriculture sector, with a focus on assessing the impact of development programs and evaluating solutions to poverty. The Director will be responsible for overseeing survey design, data collection, and analysis, as well as providing technical expertise to clients and donors.
The Director will work closely with the client's team in Nairobi, Dar-es-Salaam, and London to ensure high-quality research and monitoring services are provided to international development clients. They will lead a team of researchers and data analysts to conduct research projects in agriculture, economic development, education, health, social protection, and water and sanitation. The Director will also be responsible for building relationships with donors, universities, research institutes, and philanthropic foundations to secure new projects and funding opportunities.
