The Compagnie gnrale de navigation (CGN) is a boat transportation company operating on Lake Geneva, offering public transport lines and tourist cruises. They are looking to hire a new General Director to lead the company in the next decade. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our client, implementing the company's strategy, managing change, and supervising major transformation projects and investments. They will also need to plan and direct resources to improve service quality and internal processes, lead the management team, ensure collaboration between different sectors, and cultivate a unifying company culture.
The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of management experience in a similar organization, preferably in public transport or tourism. They should also have experience managing large investments, strong project management skills, effective leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills. Additionally, they should have a dynamic and entrepreneurial spirit, a good understanding of the Swiss political landscape and economic environment, and be fluent in French with good knowledge of German and English. The position offers a permanent contract starting on April 1, 2025, or by agreement, with a deadline for applications on October 31, 2024.
