Our client, a regional conglomerate, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to manage, plan, and coordinate financial, accounting, and tax tasks within the organization. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with local accounting, tax, and legal regulations, monitoring daily cash flows, analyzing discrepancies, updating cash flow forecasts, overseeing cash receipts and disbursements, and developing investment financing plans. The CFO will also be responsible for preparing financial statements, supervising financial information communication to external partners, providing financial strategy recommendations to management, and conducting cost analysis and internal audits as needed.
The successful candidate will have a background in finance or accounting with at least 10 years of experience in administrative and financial management of subsidiaries, preferably in an industrial or logistical environment, with some experience in Africa. The ideal candidate will be methodical, diplomatic, and able to interact with various stakeholders such as banks and shareholders. This is a permanent expatriate contract based in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, offering a competitive salary.
