The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure (INF) is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and delivery of departmental policies, programs, and services related to the INF portfolio. They provide advice and support to the Premier, Minister, and Legislative Assembly to address infrastructure challenges in the territory. Leading staff across the department and five regional offices, the Deputy Minister plays a crucial role in advancing Cabinet priorities and key agendas, working closely with various partners to ensure economic and social sustainability in the territory.The INF portfolio includes managing public buildings, transportation infrastructure, project management, facilities planning, environmental assessment, property management, information technology, energy resources, and more. The department also oversees entities such as airports, Marine Transportation Services, Northwest Territories Power Corporation, and others. The Deputy Minister collaborates with First Nations, local governments, provincial and federal partners, and industry stakeholders to provide programs and services that support the territory's connectivity and economic wellbeing.
