Our client has selected The AESC member firm to lead the search for its Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture. The College is known for producing top engineers and architects, particularly African American males and females. The Dean will oversee the five departments within the College, develop academic and financial strategies, recruit faculty and students, and promote research and educational programs.
The ideal candidate will have a doctorate, be a full professor in a College department, have relevant administrative experience, and national stature in engineering, architecture, or computer sciences. The Dean will need strong communication skills, leadership acumen, and a commitment to diversity. Howard University, founded in 1867, is a historically black university with 13 schools and colleges offering a variety of degree programs.
