The Dean will be responsible for university-wide governance, program planning, and development to ensure the quality of the AoA, as well as enhancing the reputation of Liberal Arts within the industry. They will lead academic planning, curriculum development, and quality assurance, working with university leadership and faculty to propose and implement new programming initiatives. The Dean will also oversee external relationships, representing Liberal Arts with various stakeholders, nurturing relationships within the BCCAT system, and developing strategic partnerships with community organizations and high schools to attract new students.The ideal candidate for this position will have an earned doctorate in a related field, at least 7 years of teaching experience at the postsecondary level, and at least 3 years of administrative experience in a post-secondary education environment. They should have experience with online course delivery, strong diplomatic and organizational skills, and the ability to inspire and lead faculty with diverse interests. The candidate should also have a strong focus on student success, retention, and wellbeing, as well as a track record of accomplishment in the scholarly and research community.
