Our client, The University of Maryland, is seeking a Dean for the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources who will report to the Senior Vice President and Provost. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong and innovative leadership skills, with a focus on promoting impactful scholarship and research in alignment with the College's strategic initiatives. These initiatives include food security, sustainable agriculture, and optimizing urban environments through green technology and community engagement. The Dean will also prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion within the College community, while balancing campus engagement with building relationships with key stakeholders across Maryland and beyond. Additionally, the Dean will work to support student success, increase enrollment, and secure partnerships and philanthropic support for AGNR programs and faculty.The successful candidate will champion a future-focused vision for AGNR and foster interdisciplinary research and partnerships that align with the University's strategic priorities. They will also be responsible for overseeing the University of Maryland Extension and ensuring a balance between campus engagement and outreach efforts. The Dean will play a crucial role in advancing the College's mission of promoting healthy watersheds, improving human and environmental health, and supporting sustainable agriculture practices.
