The ideal candidate for this position will have a PhD in a related discipline and qualifications suitable for a tenured full professor role in the School of Engineering. They should also be eligible for registration as a professional engineer with APEGA. Candidates with experience in senior academic leadership roles, such as AVP, Dean, Associate Dean, Chair of a department, or Director of an Institute or Centre, are preferred.
In addition to being a recognized scholar in an engineering related discipline, the successful candidate should have a proven track record of securing external funding and building strong relationships with industry, government, alumni, and other partners at local, national, and international levels. This position requires a candidate who can demonstrate leadership in academic settings and has the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
