The ideal candidate for this position should have a doctoral degree in Pharmacy or a related discipline and be eligible for a senior appointment at the University. They should have a strong background in research, teaching, administration, and leadership, preferably in a unionized setting. The candidate should have experience fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, as well as a commitment to equity, access, anti-racism, and decolonial practices. They should also demonstrate a dedication to Indigenous engagement and success, in alignment with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate their commitments to these values, while also building relationships with students, faculty, staff, university leadership, and external partners.Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of pharmacy education and a strong commitment to advancing the profession through interprofessional collaboration and partnerships. They should be able to listen, learn, and lead with integrity, building trust and rapport with various stakeholders. The candidate should have a proven track record of supporting research, teaching, and service in diverse communities, and be able to mentor and guide others towards success. Overall, the ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge necessary to lead the Pharmacy program with a focus on excellence, inclusivity, and innovation.
