The Friends of Ethiopia Diaspora Trust Fund (EDTF) is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer to help mobilize contributions from the Ethiopian Diaspora and other individuals, companies, foundations, and organizations to support social and economic development projects in Ethiopia. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of successful fundraising experience, with a strong network of funders and experience working with USAID, UN agencies, and other government and multilateral agencies. They should also have a passion for improving the lives of individuals and communities in Ethiopia and Africa, and be able to work independently to build new funding relationships and raise at least $1M in revenue in the first year.
The Chief Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in building upon the entrepreneurial efforts of our client to fund direct positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities in Ethiopia. They will work closely with the Board of Directors and high-level stakeholders to cultivate relationships, open doors for funding opportunities, and close deals with institutional donors and corporations. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of those in need in Ethiopia and contribute to the overall development of the country and the continent of Africa.
