The Algorithmic Justice League is seeking a Chief of Staff to provide strategic guidance and support as the organization continues to grow and scale. The Chief of Staff will work closely with the President and Artist-In-Chief, facilitating strategy and planning, spearheading special projects, coordinating communications, overseeing finances, and streamlining processes to ensure effectiveness. This role requires a skillful conversation facilitator, problem solver, and seasoned leader who is comfortable working behind the scenes to support the external facing role of the President and Artist-In-Chief. The Chief of Staff will play a key role in shaping the future of AJL and driving impactful change in the field of Algorithmic Justice.
The ideal candidate will have integrity, discretion, and the ability to build and maintain trust with all stakeholders. They will work closely with remote teams, full-time staff, contractors, and partner organizations to execute programmatic work, maintain relationships with funders, and facilitate the work of AJL partners. The Chief of Staff will report to the President and Artist-In-Chief and share AJL's commitment to leading a cultural movement towards equitable and accountable AI.
