
Our client is seeking a Chief of Anesthesia to oversee the anesthesia service line across all hospitals within the system. This role involves setting the strategic and operational direction of employed provider operations, supporting systemwide development and implementation of opportunities for market expansion, acquisitions, and promoting efficient and high-quality performance throughout the service line. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Vice President, this physician executive serves as the senior clinical leader accountable for the overall development, quality, and performance of anesthesia practices throughout the system.
Qualifications for this position include a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, fellowship trained in Anesthesiology, a minimum of ten years of progressive responsible work experience in a senior management position in a medical practice setting or healthcare administration, and board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a Georgia Medical License to practice Anesthesiology, and a post-graduate degree in healthcare or business administration is preferred. Strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry and experience running complex anesthesiology services in a multi-hospital system are also required for this role.
