Virginia Union University is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and manage the financial operations of the University. Reporting to the President, the CFO will play a crucial role in planning and executing the growth and evolution of the organization. Located in Richmond, Virginia Union has experienced record enrollment growth, increased revenue, and reduced long-term debt under the leadership of Dr. Hakim Lucas. The CFO will provide leadership and oversight of our client's Finance function, enhancing internal processes and infrastructure to support the University's mission and goals of growth and expansion.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of experience in leading financial functions, preferably in a higher education environment, and detailed knowledge of GASB regulations. They should have a track record of leading innovation and change in a growth organization, be technology savvy, and have the ability to oversee multiple projects and lead a team of finance professionals. The CFO will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of 29 professionals and should demonstrate analytical capabilities and in-depth knowledge of ERP systems. The salary for this full-time position in Richmond, Virginia is competitive, ranging from $170,000 to $200,000, with a generous benefits package.
