The National Portrait Gallery in Central London is looking for a Chief Curator to join their team. The Chief Curator will be responsible for leading the curatorial team, growing and caring for the collection, and contributing to an engaging exhibitions programme. They will work closely with the Director and senior colleagues to develop policies for the Collection and collaborate on dynamic programming that resonates both locally and internationally.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in art curation and a passion for celebrating and preserving the portraits of historically significant British individuals. They will have experience in managing collections, advising on curatorial matters, and developing policies for archives and libraries. The Chief Curator will play a key role in shaping the future of the Gallery and ensuring its continued success as a leading cultural institution.
