Description

The University of Michigan Health is seeking a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Regional Medical Group (RMG) in Lansing, MI. The CAO will report to the President, Regional Medical Group and will be responsible for leading the integration of Sparrow Health Medical Group and University of Michigan Health Partners. The CAO will oversee the operational aspects of ambulatory clinics and ancillary facilities associated with RMG, working to achieve effective and efficient clinic operations and maintaining a productive culture across RMG.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Master's degree in health services management or business administration, along with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership position within a multi-hospital, integrated system. They must have experience in medical group operations in a multi-specialty ambulatory environment and a proven track record in improving productivity and access. The CAO will be responsible for developing effective relationships with physicians and advanced practice providers, as well as designing physician compensation programs and supporting population health initiatives. The Regional Medical Group is part of the U-M Health Regional System, which includes 7 hospitals, 12,000+ employees, and $1.8B in net operating revenue, and the position will be based in Lansing, MI, a diverse metropolitan area with a rich history and central location in the state.
