The Chairperson plays a crucial role in effectively communicating the vision and purpose of the client, ensuring full participation at meetings, and providing leadership to the Board of Directors. They work in partnership with the CEOs to fulfill their duties and responsibilities, while also liaising with and supporting the CEO in operational matters. The Chairperson plans and chairs meetings in accordance with governing documents, brings impartiality and objectivity to decision-making, and ensures that decisions made at meetings are implemented. They stay informed about current issues that may affect the client and advocate for and represent the client at external meetings and events as needed.

Overall, the Chairperson is responsible for ensuring that the Board functions well and that there is effective communication and collaboration among Directors and with the CEO. They play a strategic role in guiding the client towards its goals and objectives, while also providing support and challenge to the CEO as necessary. The Chairperson's role is critical in maintaining the client's integrity and reputation, as well as in advocating for its interests in external settings. They must be proactive, organized, and able to lead and facilitate discussions and decision-making processes within the Board of Directors.
