The client is seeking a voluntary chairperson with strong governance and leadership skills, as well as a background in nature restoration, ecosystem services, biodiversity, sustainable development, or related fields. The role involves leading a four-person voluntary board, overseeing a Finance Officer, and working with a Steering Committee to provide guidance and support to the client's Secretariat. The chair may also be involved in adding additional board members to further support the organization's vision and mission. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate with national experts in natural capital, biodiversity, and sustainable development, and contribute to the client's research, outreach, and education efforts.
The client's work includes conducting research, outreach, and education in the areas of natural capital, biodiversity, and sustainable development. The organization co-developed Ireland's first project to apply natural capital accounts for Irish sites (INCASE), and the chairperson will play a key role in supporting the client's growth and impact.
