
The client is seeking a new Chair to lead the organization in providing vital lifesaving and life-changing services to a population of 2.7 million people in the North East. The Chair will be responsible for providing leadership to the strategic direction, performance management, and governance of the Trust, with a focus on improving emergency services in the region. The ideal candidate will have extensive senior Board level experience in complex, regulated, and person-centred environments, and a strong focus on equality, diversity, and inclusion.
The successful candidate will be a visible and values-driven leader who is passionate about making a positive difference to the communities served by the Trust. They will have the highest levels of personal integrity, be comfortable operating at scale, and be a strategic thinker. The closing date for applications is 9am on Wednesday, August 7, with preliminary interviews scheduled for the weeks commencing August 19 or 26, and final interviews in the weeks commencing September 16 or 23.
