The Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine is seeking an established, board-certified internal medicine physician to serve as the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine. The Chair will be responsible for developing innovative health care delivery models, maintaining excellence in clinical care, supporting educational initiatives, organizing research projects, and promoting scholarly activity within the department. This position offers the opportunity to lead the medical school's largest clinical department, shape the future of medical education and patient care, and drive innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the academic community.

Edwards School of Medicine, in partnership with Marshall Health, aims to fulfill the healthcare needs of the region through its comprehensive care team and commitment to improving access to care. The ideal candidate for the Chair position should be eligible for medical licensure in West Virginia, hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with current American Board of Internal Medicine certification(s), have at least five years of experience as a full-time faculty member in academic medicine, and demonstrate strong leadership skills and a background in faculty recruitment and development.
