Our client is seeking a Campus Dean for the College of Liberal Arts at Wenzhou-Kean University in China. The Dean will be responsible for managing academic and faculty operations, overseeing the general administration of the College, and identifying and implementing strategic priorities for the successful future of the College. The ideal candidate will have an earned terminal degree in a liberal arts related discipline, demonstrated excellence in university teaching, a strong record of scholarly/creative and professional accomplishment, and a minimum of six years of progressive experience in higher education.
The Campus Dean will have the opportunity to build upon the University's achievements, enhance academic offerings, recruit and retain talented faculty and staff, and elevate the student experience. They will also serve as a strong advocate for a liberal arts education and continue to tackle the question of translating a liberal arts curriculum to Chinese and international audiences. The position offers an estimated salary of $140,000K, with housing, a travel allowance, and a generous benefits package included.
