The Director of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Projects Development will be responsible for integrating battery energy storage systems into renewable energy projects for our client in the renewable energy sector. Reporting to the Head of Development and Strategy for Europe, this role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive successful battery storage projects aligned with overall business objectives. The Director will lead our client's energy storage strategy, identify project opportunities, conduct analyses, and manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong background in energy storage strategy and project management. Proficiency in navigating regulatory frameworks, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role. The Director must also have a visionary outlook, strategic orientation, and a commitment to sustainability, along with a Bachelor's degree and knowledge of the storage sector and specific Spanish regulations.
