Our client is seeking an Executive Director to lead GreenLight Baltimore, a site that addresses barriers to economic mobility for children, youth, and families in high-poverty urban areas. The Executive Director will work with a Selection Advisory Council to identify critical needs in Baltimore, vet, select, fund, and launch national solutions that fit the community's needs. They will also build relationships with donors, represent GreenLight Baltimore externally, and secure critical resources for the organization and its portfolio organizations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for GreenLight's mission, a commitment to racial equity, experience in entrepreneurial environments, and strong communication and relationship-building skills. They should also have knowledge of the Baltimore philanthropic, nonprofit, and business sectors, as well as experience with due diligence and grant-making processes.
The Executive Director will lead a community-wide Selection Advisory Council, run an annual selection process for organizations with potential impact, engage community members with lived experience navigating poverty, and serve as a local board member for portfolio organizations. They will also represent GreenLight Baltimore externally, cultivate relationships with various stakeholders, secure financial resources, and manage pipelines. The position offers a salary of $150,000 with benefits including health insurance, dental and vision insurance, a 401k match, generous PTO, and professional development opportunities.
