The Associate Vice-President, Information Technology (AVP, IT) will report to the Vice-President, Finance and Administration and will be responsible for shaping and advancing the organization's IT strategy, overseeing infrastructure and development, and delivering technology solutions that enhance teaching, research, and administrative capabilities. The AVP, IT will play a critical role in fostering a culture of innovation and service excellence that aligns with the organization's mission and strategic priorities. They will provide leadership and oversight to the organization's Information Technology portfolio, ensuring the delivery of robust, reliable, and advancing technology solutions. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing an innovative IT strategy, overseeing all IT functions, collaborating with organizational leaders and partners, providing guidance on IT governance, and leading a team of IT professionals.The AVP, IT will be responsible for operational oversight of all IT functions, including infrastructure management, security, desktop services, and the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. They will work closely with organizational leaders and partners to identify technology needs, prioritize initiatives, and deliver solutions that support the organization's diverse constituent groups. The AVP, IT will also build partnerships with external technology providers and organizations to advance the organization's current and future capabilities. Additionally, they will provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to ensure the team remains skilled and motivated, fostering a culture of collaboration, service excellence, and innovation within the IT department.
