The Associate Vice President (AVP), University Relations, reports to the President and is a key member of the executive leadership team at our client. This role involves providing strategic guidance in government relations, change management, and complex issues management. The AVP oversees government and community relations, communications and marketing, and advancement, supporting a team of directors, managers, and staff in these areas. The ideal candidate for this position is a strong leader with experience in communications, marketing, government relations, and advancement, and a proven track record of success in a complex, multi-constituency organization. The AVP is responsible for formulating strategies and initiatives to enhance our client's reputation and relationships with various stakeholders, including government, donors, alumni, partners, community members, faculty, staff, and students. The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship-building skills, a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker who can engage people both within and outside the university to advance our client's goals and objectives.
