Our client is recruiting for an Associate General Counsel role based in NYC for a national lender specializing in multi-family properties and commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice on business activities and securitization functions, reporting to the General Counsel. Responsibilities include supporting mortgage and credit facilities, working on commercial loan securitizations, providing legal guidance on operational matters, managing internal relationships, and ensuring corporate compliance.
Qualifications for the position include a bachelor's degree and J.D. with strong academic credentials, at least 7 years of experience in commercial finance transactions, and knowledge of commercial loan securitization. Strong writing and communication skills, the ability to work with executive staff, and experience in corporate governance, treasury, finance, and contract administration are desired. The compensation for this role includes a high 200Ks base salary plus bonus, and the location is in New York, New York.
