
Our client is seeking an Associate Dean of Pre-Clinical Affairs to oversee the pre-clinical curricular areas of the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Program. Reporting to the Founding Dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine, this role requires familiarity with the AOA COCA accreditation process and the ability to develop the educational program from the ground-up. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker, team-player, and enjoyable to work with, collaborating closely with the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and Dean once hired.
Our client is committed to addressing the shortage of primary care physicians in rural Pennsylvania by establishing the first public College of Osteopathic Medicine in the state. The proposed College will train osteopathic medical students with a focus on practice in rural settings, aligning with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Initiative to Strengthen Primary Health Care. The Associate Dean will play a crucial role in developing the foundational framework of the pre-clinical education program, overseeing the COCA Accreditation process, and creating connections within our client and external clinical sites for student rotations. The position requires a D.O./M.D./PhD degree, experience in academic leadership, teaching, and clinical practice, and familiarity with accreditation processes and wellness programming.
