The School of Global Public Health at New York University is seeking an experienced and innovative communication and public affairs professional to serve as the Associate Dean of Communications, Promotions, and Public Affairs. Reporting to Dean Debra Furr-Holden, the Associate Dean will be responsible for creating and managing a comprehensive integrated communications, public relations, and branding strategy to highlight and promote the School's unique strengths to internal and external audiences. This role will involve leading media relations, external affairs, internal and external communications, marketing, events, issues management, crisis communications, and digital news operations to position the School locally, nationally, and globally for success.
The ideal candidate will have progressive leadership experience in higher education, non-profit, or a comparable business setting, with expertise in complex marketing systems and strategic communication planning. They must possess superior oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary academic programs. The Associate Dean will be an innovative leader capable of executing sophisticated strategies for diverse audiences, and will play a key role in shaping the School's narrative and reputation.
