Description

Our client is seeking an Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs to oversee the clinical curricular areas of the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Program. Reporting to the Founding Dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine, the Associate Dean will play a critical role in developing the educational program from the ground-up and ensuring compliance with the AOA COCA accreditation process. This individual must be an innovative thinker, team player, and enjoyable to work with, collaborating closely with other deans and faculty members once hired.

The Associate Dean will be instrumental in addressing the shortage of primary care physicians in rural Pennsylvania by developing a program that emphasizes practice in rural settings. Responsibilities include developing the clinical curricular framework, recruiting clinical institutional relationships, providing faculty development, and overseeing the budget of the Clinical Education programming. The ideal candidate will have a D.O./M.D./PhD degree, experience in leading academic units, teaching experience at the graduate/medical school level, and familiarity with accreditation processes.
