The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced orthopedic surgeon with a strong background in healthcare administration. They should have a history of working in a large academic healthcare organization and collaborating with various departments to improve healthcare operations. The candidate must have a proven ability to implement process improvements and drive changes in operational metrics. Candidates must hold an MD/DO or equivalent degree, be Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery, and be eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa. Preference will be given to those with an advanced degree in healthcare or business administration (MBA, MHA) or equivalent. Additionally, candidates must be eligible for a faculty appointment in the College of Medicine.
