Our client is looking for an assistant provost/senior director of academic labor relations who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of academic labor relations, including contract negotiations, grievance resolution, and policy development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, experience working in a higher education setting, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. This individual will also be responsible for providing strategic guidance to senior leadership on labor relations issues and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.The assistant provost will play a key role in promoting a positive and productive relationship between the university and its faculty, staff, and unions. This individual will work closely with stakeholders across the university to address labor relations issues, resolve conflicts, and develop policies and procedures that support a fair and equitable work environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, a track record of building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of academic labor relations.
