
The Ambulatory Associate Chief Operating Officer (ACOO) will be responsible for overseeing the management and operational leadership of a rapidly growing ambulatory clinical enterprise within an integrated health system. This includes ensuring quality patient care, supporting the teaching and research mission, improving patient experience ratings, and overall hospital rankings. Maintaining competent staff and a cohesive workplace with engaged employees will be crucial for the organization's success. The role is based in Sacramento, CA and involves managing all operational aspects of hospital departments, medical practices, patient care quality, engagement, performance improvement, productivity, and financial performance.The ACOO will integrate the organization's strategic plan with all operations within Ambulatory Services, communicate and collaborate with leaders throughout the health system, develop strategies, operating policies, business plans, and capital allocation plans. They will oversee the ambulatory practice for 950 practicing physicians, provide visionary leadership to unify and align the medical group and ambulatory management, clinical care teams, and administrative staff. A minimum of five years of experience in a significant management position within a physician group practice setting is required, along with a Masters degree in Health Administration or related fields, or equivalent experience and training.
