Advocates for Basic Legal Equality (ABLE) is seeking an Advocacy Director who is a progressive leader dedicated to justice and inclusive communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to boldly pursuing results for clients and a vision for the future of legal services. ABLE is a nonprofit law firm that has been providing comprehensive legal representation for over 50 years to vulnerable individuals in Northwest and West Central Ohio. They work alongside their partner law firm, Legal Aid of Western Ohio (LAWO), to ensure that those living in poverty have equal access to justice.
The Advocacy Director will be responsible for advocating for financially disadvantaged individuals and communities, working towards just and equitable policy changes that address structural causes of injustice. ABLE serves over 425,000 people in poverty, providing essential legal services to those who cannot afford representation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social justice and a drive to make a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
